WHAT IS THE WALK-A-THON?
It is the most FUN fundraiser of the year! Students will complete as many laps as possible sponsored by their friends and family. This event offers students an opportunity to engage their community, practice a healthy lifestyle, and show support for their school! In addition, by being active participants in collecting funds for this event, students get to learn what it means to "give back" and lead a life of philanthropy.
The FUNDS raised by the Walk-A-Thon help CWC Silver Lake Middle School provide:
- Maintain Small Classes
- Whole Child Learning
- Social Emotional Learning
- Differentiated Learning
- Enhanced Teacher Coaching
- Build leadership capacity for 6-8th Grade Program
- Art & Drama
- Many Exciting Student Centered Electives
