I have been at CWC Mar Vista since 3rd Grade. My parents and I chose it because it's a traditional public school in a lot of ways with a bigger student population and lots of diversity, and one that also has the things we liked about my smaller school and also about growing up at camp -- a focus on social-emotional learning and a garden.

I like the library, that we have PE almost every day, and that I get to do things like Active Citizens (help out with the younger grades) and Scripps Spelling Bee. This year, my class even got to go to Pali Institute for an outdoor education retreat. (Note from Mom: This is just a snapshot of the programming provided through supplemental funding. There are also student aides, intentional Diversity-Equity-Inclusion-Belonging Programming, and Art, Spanish and Mindfulness Classes.)

🏃The CWC Mar Vista Walk-A-Thon 2025 is coming up on March 18, 2025! This fundraiser teaches me how to support my community, so I am supposed to ask YOU to help ME to RUN.
